Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has identified internal sabotage as one of the biggest challenges confronting the Nigerian movie industry, saying the sector is weighed down by individuals working against its progress.
Speaking in an interview, the celebrated thespian did not hold back as he revealed what he would change about Nollywood if given the opportunity.
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry. The industry is full of saboteurs. They can’t help themselves. They need therapy,” he said.
He also added: “I don’t follow anybody on social media because that does not validate you as my friend. You have access to me, why should I be on social media following you to validate that, it makes absolutely no logical sense. My secret life is my immediate family, my nuclear family, my sons, my ex-wife, my privacy in every regard, in everything I do and who I am dating currently.”
