Reality TV star and entrepreneur Tacha Akide has encouraged young girls to be confident, ambitious, and unapologetic about taking up space in their chosen fields.
She expressed this in a recent interview:
“I want young girls to keep getting inspired by my giant strides. I want them not to stop. I want them not to ask for permission. I want them to take up space, walk into a room and not be shy. I want people to live their best lives because at the end of the day, you only live once,” she said.
The mother of one also shared how deeply her mother has influenced her life, describing her as her biggest source of motivation and the driving force behind her ambition.
She reflected on her upbringing and the values instilled in her by her mother, whom she described as hardworking and deeply prayerful.
She said, “My mum is my driving force. I had a hardworking and prayerful mother. I always feel the need to make her proud. I feel like if she had the opportunity as I have right now, she would do all she can, and that’s why I keep being me.”
Tacha Akide, who previously set a Guinness World Record for the most cosmetic makeovers completed within 24 hours, also spoke about the passion behind her record-breaking attempt.
“Make-up is part of my life. I have been into make-up since I was 14 years old. You have to be into make-up for a long time before you want to break a record in make-up. I didn’t want to talk too much about how good I was at it; I just wanted to show it,” she explained.
