Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, a social media influencer and self-proclaimed relationship therapist, was arraigned again on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC.
The mother of two, popularly known as Blessing CEO, was brought before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and theft to the tune of N69,150,000 (sixty-nine million, one hundred and fifty thousand naira).
At the start of the proceedings, the prosecution counsel, C. C. Okezie, requested that the court proceed with the arraignment, arguing that the defendant had been properly served with the charge.
However, defence counsel Nkama Nneka told the court that the service of the charge had only recently been completed.
In his ruling, Justice Oshodi stated that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with the law, and the charges were subsequently read to the defendant.
Blessing CEO was also granted N10 million bail in a separate case in which she faces a two-count charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, for obtaining money by false pretence and theft of N36 million.
She was arraigned on 15 May 2026, on allegations that she obtained the sum from a petitioner under the false pretence of leasing a property in Lekki, Lagos.
The matter was adjourned to 5 June for the hearing of her bail application, but after arguments from both the prosecution and defence, Justice Dipeolu reserved ruling for Tuesday, 9 June.
At today’s resumed hearing, the court granted her bail of N10 million.
This occurs as Blessing, the CEO, continues to face legal challenges following allegations that she fraudulently obtained and diverted millions of naira.
