From prison to fatherhood: Baba Ijesha announces birth of son

Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has announced the birth of his son.

The actor shared the joyful news on his newly created Instagram page, posting maternity photographs featuring himself and his wife.

Expressing gratitude to God for the latest addition to his family, Baba Ijesha also revealed his son’s name as King Kagar Omiyinka.

“God gave me more than I prayed for. My ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban, Abikese de mi owo, @ceolumineeofficial, who became the mother of my son, King Kagar Omiyinka,” he wrote.

The announcement attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom flooded the comment section with goodwill messages for the couple.

Baba Ijesha regained his freedom in November 2025 after completing a prison sentence following his conviction in a child sexual assault case.

However, news of the birth has also sparked conversations across social media, with some Nigerians questioning the timeline of the pregnancy and raising questions about reports surrounding his incarceration prior to his release.
