THE Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, today, stood still for Naija Times’ third anniversary/book presentation.
The event, held at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, had in attendance some prominent Nigerians including former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, Senator Effiong Dickson Bob, the National Chairman, Inter-Party Advisory Council, Yabagi Sani, the Ambassador of Brazil to Nigeria, His Excellency, Ricardo Guerra de Araujo, among many others.
Consummate journalist, TV anchor/radio host and former presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, spoke extensively on the topic ‘Journalism in the service of society,’ which is the slogan of Naija Times.
Azu Ishiekwene, the Editor-in-Chief of Leadership newspaper, reviewed the book titled, ‘For a Better Society’, a compilation of Naija Times editorials on contemporary issues from September 2020 to July 2023.
The chairman of the event, Mr. John Momoh (OON, NPOM), Chairman/CEO of Channels Media Group, was represented by renowned TV host, Chamberlain Usoh.
There were goodwill messages from Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, a representative of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), members of Naija Times’ editorial board as well as friends and well-wishers.
