LAGOS: House of Rock’s Pastor Akinbami dies of Covid-19

THE Senior Pastor of House on The Rock church, Paul Adefarasin, has announced the death of one of the church pastors, Yinka Akinbami, due to coronavirus complications on Friday, January 8.

In a statement on Saturday, Adefarasin said the late Akinbami was deeply dear to him and entire church, saying; the deceased was a good man, which made his death a painful one.

The deceased had been with the House on The Rock church for over 25 years. He had served in the Family Life Directorate, while he coached men and women during his time with the church.

Adefarasin wrote: “As a dear egbon to me, even though you were older, we were close friends and I thank you for allowing me to be your pastor and spiritual father.

“The thought that I will return to church and not see you again on this side of the divide, is unbelievable. I have not been able to process this loss, however, I am sure of how much we will all miss you.”

The Senior Pastor prayed that God’s peace and strength envelopes them in the difficult moment, and further reminded everyone of the deadly nature of COVID-19 and its mutant strains.

He further pleaded with citizens to play their role in keeping safe by obeying the laid down Covid-19 guidelines.
