Man City extend EPL win streak against Arsenal

PREMIER League leaders Manchester City extended their winning run to 18 games with a 1-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side have not dropped a point since 15 December and were ahead early on Sunday through Raheem Sterling. The England forward scored within the first two minutes by outjumping the much taller Rob Holding to head in Riyad Mahrez’s cross.

That turned out to be the only goal of the game but Arsenal fought back bravely and gave City some problems.

City ultimately got the win that kept them 10 points clear at the top of the table.

It was also City’s eighth straight Premier League win against Arsenal, who fell to 10th place in the table.

In the run of eight consecutive Premier League wins against Arsenal, City have scored 19 goals and conceded just two.

Arsenal have now lost their last four Premier League games against Manchester City without scoring a goal, the first time in their history they have failed to score in four consecutive home league games against an opponent.
