Nigerian champions Bayelsa Queens could claim as much as $400,000 in prize money at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The competition, the second in the series, will be held in Morocco from October 30 to November 13.
The Confederation of African Football today announced how the prize money will be shared among the eight participating clubs, with the winners to walk away with $400,000.
The runners-up will receive $250,000, while the teams beaten in the semi-finals are due to be paid $200,000.
The least each team is guaranteed to receive is $100,000, which is the payout to the two clubs that finish bottom of the groups, while the third-placed sides get $150,000 each.
Bayelsa Queens are in Group B with Egypt’s Wadi Degla, Democratic Republic of Congo’s TP Mazembe and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
Host club AS FAR of Morocco are in Group A alongside Simba Queens of Tanzania, Green Buffaloes of Zambia and Determine Girls of Liberia.
