VICTOR Osimhen has been presented with the plaque for the Globe Soccer Award he won recently.
The Nigeria international today received the prize for the Globe Soccer Award for Emerging Player of the Year 2022 in Italy.
The Napoli striker was unable to attend the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony in Dubai on November 17, so a special event was organised at the Napoli training ground specially for him.
Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was present to help hand over the award to the in-form 24-year-old.
“Just received the @Globe_Soccer Award for the Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year,” Osimhen tweeted today, with a picture of himself with the prize.
“Thank you for the recognition, and to those that have been supporting me through the years, I appreciate y’all. GOD is the greatest.”
Osimhen has been impressive this season with Serie A leaders Napoli, contributing 11 goals and three assists in just 16 appearances in the Italian top flight and the UEFA Champions League.
He is the only player in the current Serie A campaign to have scored 10 goals.
He joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020 for €80m, which is still a record fee for the Italian club.
