FA Cup: 10-man United stun Arsenal as Aribo’s Southampton advance

The game also saw Dennis Bergkamp miss a penalty in regulation time.

After Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead in the 52nd minute today at the Emirates, Gabriel Magalhaes equalised in the 63rd, two minutes after Dalot was sent off for a second yellow card.

Captain Martin Odegaard had the opportunity to put Arsenal ahead but saw his penalty saved by Altay Bayandir after the spot kick was controversial awarded following a Kai Havertz dive.

The game was decided on penalties with United scoring all their five kicks while Havertz’s attempt was saved by Altay Bayindir.

Bruno Fernandes, Amad Diallo, Lenny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee all converted for United, while Odegaard, Declan Rice and Thomas Partey scored for Arsenal.
