NIGER: Five die, eight injured in road accident

Five persons have been confirmed dead, while eight others sustained critical injuries in a road crash that occurred on Sunday in Agaie, Agaie Local Government Area of Niger.

The Desk Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency in Agaie LGA, Mr Hussaini Guregi, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Sunday.

Guregi said the accident involved a trailer conveying about 40 passengers and a tanker.

He explained that the trailer was travelling from Gusau in Zamfara to Shagamu in Ogun State when the crash occurred.
