While many celebrities are often caught in the whirlwind of public scrutiny over their private lives, Nollywood actress Chinenye Uyanna is choosing a different path—one marked by peace, purpose, and patience, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
In a recent chat, the elegant Anambra-born actress reflected on her journey so far in 2025, her birthday celebration, and why she’s in no hurry to tie the knot despite societal expectations. “I’m most thankful for life—just being alive is a blessing I don’t take for granted,” she said.
“2025 hasn’t been the smoothest ride; there’ve been highs and lows, but through it all, God has remained faithful. I’m grateful for love, family, and how far I’ve come in my career this year.”
The actress, who marked her birthday on June 6, shared how the milestone served as a moment of reflection. “It made me pause and look at the journey so far. We’re just halfway into the year, and I’ve already been part of several amazing movie projects. Each role has challenged me and helped me grow. It’s been a busy, fulfilling ride, and I’m excited for what’s still ahead.”
On the ever-present question of marriage, Uyanna—best known for her role in Breaking Free—had this to say: “There’s no pressure from home, and I’m grateful for that. My parents understand me, and they know that when the right man comes along, it will happen naturally. Sure, they want me to have a home, and I do too. But I want to do it right. I want to build a home, not just get married. I know what I’m looking for, even if people say there’s no perfect man. For me, it’s about making the right choice, not a rushed one.”
