ATLETICO Madrid manager Diego Simeone believes Ademola Lookman will make a big difference at the club following his move from Atalanta.
Lookman joined the LaLiga side for around €40m on Monday, and the Super Eagles forward made an instant impact, scoring and assisting on his debut as Atletico Madrid thrashed Real Betis 5-0 on Thursday.
“Lookman is different from all the players we have, especially in one-on-one situations, but he also has associative play,” Simeone said.
“His profile allows us to use him in different positions, and his impact on the team was very good.”
“He felt comfortable, and hopefully we can help him become an even better footballer, just as he can help us grow as a team.”
Lookman, 28, is playing in his fourth major European league after featuring in England, where he was born, Germany and Italy.
