Kenya’s Kipchumba, Ethiopia’s Dinke win Access Bank Lagos City Marathon

EZRA Kipchumba Kering of Kenya and Ethiopia’s Meseret Dike have emerged as the winners of the men’s and women’s races at the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon today.

Kipchumba was the first athlete to cross the finish line at the Eko Atlantic City, clocking 02:11:55.

Dinke led the women’s race from start to finish, clocking 2:37:36 to add another medal to her collection.

Boyi Solomon Nyango was the first Nigerian man to cross the finish line, arriving in 2:25:32.

Deborah Pam Badung followed as the first Nigerian woman to finish, clocking 2:55:46.

For winning the men’s and women’s races at the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Kipchumba and Dinke each won the top prizes of $50,000, while Solomon and Badung each got N2 million.
