We will defeat banditry, terrorism — Tinubu reassures Nigerians

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to overcome banditry and terrorism, assuring citizens that ongoing security efforts will ultimately restore peace across the country.

The President gave the assurance today in Yola while inaugurating projects executed by Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.

He lauded the commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and pledged continued federal support for personnel in uniform as they carry out their duties.

Expressing appreciation for the military’s efforts in tackling insurgency and banditry, Tinubu said the nation would prevail through collective determination.

He also urged state governors and citizens to work together in advancing development at both state and national levels, promising sustained service and sacrifice in his role as leader.

The Commander-in-Chief commended Governor Fintiri for the projects delivered in Adamawa State, describing them as impactful.

Tinubu also lauded the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, acknowledging his contributions to the country’s security architecture.

Ribadu, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, was described by the President as dedicated, courageous, and committed to duty.

According to Tinubu, the ongoing security strategy under Ribadu’s leadership is yielding results, expressing confidence that bandits and terrorists will be decisively defeated.
