ONDO: Amotekun rescues nine abducted Lagos-bound passengers

OPERATIVES of the state security network, codenamed Amotekun, have rescued nine out of the 12 passengers kidnapped in the early hours of today between Idoani Ifira axis.

Speaking with newsmen on the new development, the Commandant of the security agency, Adetunji Adeleye, said that his men are working to secure the release of others.

“We have been able to rescue nine out of twelve as well, our men are still combing the forest to get the kidnappers arresteed,” he said. 

It would be recalled that a Lagos-bound 18-seater bus with 12 passengers was attacked by armed men and all travellers abducted.

The incident occurred on the failed portion of the Idoani-Ifira road in Akoko Southeast Local Government Area.
