SOCIAL media platforms have blocked President Donald Trump from posting after his Wednesday posts to his tens of millions of followers were removed for inciting supporters in Washington, D.C., who stormed the U.S. Capitol after there protests turned violent
The announcement was made by Twitter announced that it had locked his account for 12 hours, and removed three tweets to his supporters, saying it carried a “risk of violence.”
Also, Facebook announced that it had locked the president’s account for 24 hours, after removing the same video.
Facebook-owned Instagram, has also blocked Trump from posting for 24-hours.
Trump, in the video posted at about 4pm, spoke to his supporters, whom he urged to gather in Washington D.C. as Electoral College certification proceed to finalize Joe Biden’s victory.
President Trump also made claims of election fraud, before encouraging his supporters to go home in peace after they had unlawfully entered the Capitol building,
“You have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order,” he said. “So go home. We love you. You’re very special…I know how you feel.”
