THE Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has confirmed the abduction of two of its staff members in the Ogun State region while they were carrying out official duties.

According to the company, the incident occurred on April 29, 2026, around the Ogunmakin axis along the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road, where the workers were reportedly taken by gunmen during field operations.

IBEDC expressed deep concern over the situation, stating that its thoughts are with the affected employees and their families.
