THE Ebonyi State Police Command paraded four persons suspected of murdering Eze Christopher Ewa, the traditional ruler of Umuezeokaha village in the state’s Ezza North Local Government Area (LGA).

On February 27, men armed with AK-47 rifles alleged to be members of a confraternity assassinated the monarch in his compound.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, told journalists that the command had been on the trail of all the criminals involved and that four important suspects had been detained while others remained at large.

Onovwakpoyeya also revealed that four other criminals were detained for being part of a gang that stole from unsuspecting members of the public.

The police said attempts were being made to apprehend other criminals who were still on the run, assuring Ebonyi residents that the accused would be apprehended and brought to justice.
