NIGERIA’S Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following her recent appointment, vowing to advance the country’s interests on the global stage.
In a message shared on her verified social media account, the minister described her new role as both an honour and a call to higher national service.
She thanked the president for the trust placed in her, stating her commitment to delivering on the responsibility.
Odumegwu-Ojukwu noted that her focus would include strengthening Nigeria’s foreign policy direction in line with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly through its 4D foreign policy priorities and citizen diplomacy efforts.
She reassured Nigerians of her dedication to protecting and promoting national interests internationally.
Her appointment follows the resignation of former Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuff Tuggar, who is preparing to contest the 2027 governorship election in Bauchi State.
